Duties include:

Grazing management, repairs and maintenance of fences and water systems, processing, sorting and loading animals. Maintain records on animals and grazing plans; evaluate animals for pasture performance; and administer medications and vaccinations, as appropriate. Clean and maintain livestock corrals and handling facilities. Proficient in working cattle on horseback, shoe and care for ranch horses.  Must be a self-starter, works well independently and within a team.

Education/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 or more years of beef cattle ranch experience related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Parker Ranch is looking to hire a Senior Consultant for our Energy & Infrastructure cost center.

Senior Consultant – Energy & Infrastructure

Position Summary:

Senior Consultant for all aspects of energy, water, wastewater, infrastructure, and real estate development. Performs efficiency analyses, business analyses and other technical/financial modeling and studies with emphasis on the Ranch’s strategic initiatives in infrastructure including the energy-agriculture-water nexus. Delivers presentations to the community. Understands county and state requirements regarding land use. Uses a systems-thinking approach to problem solving and design. Implements solutions that are user-friendly to Ranch personnel. Acts as project manager for energy, water, wastewater and other infrastructure projects. Provides support for all infrastructure-related projects.

If the employee does not meet the requirements of the Senior Consultant Position, he/she may be initially hired as a Consultant and provided a training and development plan for the Senior Consultant position.


  • College degree in engineering, engineering management or equivalent technical/analytical experience preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience.
